ORLANDO, Fla. (February 24, 2014) — KoolSpan Inc today announced at the 2014 Annual HIMSS Conference & Exhibition, a global agreement with Ingram Micro Mobility that will help ensure privacy and security in a connected healthcare environment. Under the agreement, Ingram Micro Mobility will distribute KoolSpan’s suite of hardware-based security solutions to protect voice and data communications via its Tablet-as-a-Service offering
Available security solutions through Ingram Micro Mobility include KoolSpan’s TrustCall, designed to protect sensitive voice communications, and TrustText®, a secure, archivable messaging platform that allows health care professionals to send encrypted, HIPAA-compliant information to patients. The TrustText messaging platform can include standard appointment reminders, lab results, payment reminders and other messages.
“The promise of connectivity in highly-regulated industries such as healthcare, financial and energy markets is immense and Ingram Micro Mobility has the expertise and deep market relationships to help us maximize market penetration,” said Francis Knott, SVP of KoolSpan. “In the healthcare world, the popularity of tablet computers has risen sharply due to their portability, light weight and small size,” said Scott Jonasz, senior manager of enterprise mobility at Ingram Micro Mobility. “Being selected as a key distributor of KoolSpan’s security suite will allow us to expand sales outlets for KoolSpan and leverage high growth in tablets, particularly in the healthcare arena, where privacy is paramount and closely regulated.”
KoolSpan representatives are on-site at booth 409 to demonstrate its suite of patented mobile security applications and answer questions from healthcare providers or organizations looking for security continuity across their entire communications and data infrastructure, including smartphones, iPhones, office network phones, tablets, laptops, PCs and servers.
