KoolSpan Announces Commercial Agreement with Major European Telecommunications Carrier to Offer TrustCall
Encrypted Mobile Voice Service uses Powerful Combination of Hardware and Software to Enable Voice Calls with High-Level Security
Bethesda, MD. – March 26, 2012
KoolSpan, Inc., developer of the TrustChip® family of plug-in mobile security solutions, today announced that a major European telecommunications operator will commercialize its Trust Suite of products including TrustCall. The service will target government agencies, law enforcement organizations, financial services institutions and international businesses.
The encrypted mobile voice service combines KoolSpan’s TrustChip and TrustCall into a two-factor cell phone encryption solution. TrustChip is a fully hardened, self-contained crypto engine inserted into the smartphone’s microSD slot. The TrustCall application integrates the security functions of the TrustChip to allow users to easily place and receive encrypted calls.
“Being selected by a major telecommunications player is a strong endorsement of the validity of our encryption solution,” said Gregg Smith, CEO of KoolSpan. “As KoolSpan moves into Europe and other countries we will solidify our solution as a global leader in the mobile security space.”
Smith added that the need for reliable mobile security has emerged as a fundamental requirement for business and government, especially in the Android space.
“By offering our Trust Suite of products, telecommunications operators can differentiate themselves from competitors and establish a competitive advantage with the most innovative mobile encryption products on the global market,” he said.
