Those old enough to remember life’s simple pleasures played a childhood game called “leapfrog,” in which one child leapt over another’s stooped back. In these litigious times, children instead play video games so that an errant kick won’t result in a large financial settlement.

KoolSpan has pulled off a double-leapfrog maneuver without kicking anyone. 

TrustCall 11 leaps forward in user experience and leaps forward in robustness. 

First, the user experience.

TrustCall apps for iOS, Android, Mac OS, and Windows all look and behave the same. Their appearance is determined by screen size, not the operating system or the device. If one has a large screen—like a laptop, external monitor, or tablet—TrustCall provides a marvelous “all-in-one” view. During a video call, a user can view a shared screen, exchange chat messages and files, and look at activity from other contacts or groups. 

Users with smaller phone screens have a more focused view but can easily navigate between different screens while maintaining a conversation.

TrustCall will look familiar to users of commercial chat applications. Although it has a unique and striking look and feel, certain gestures and application behaviors have become commodities and operate identically in TrustCall and other applications.

Some important features newly supported in TrustCall 11:

Messaging:

• Audio messages may be recorded directly from the user interface and delivered as .mp3 files. These messages can be played within the application or downloaded.
• The Contact/Group view has been significantly upgraded. Among its many new features, a snippet of the last message sent, as well as its delivery status and timestamp, appears.
• Users may attach multiple files in one fell swoop
• Attachments may be previewed in-app or downloaded for subsequent viewing
• Emojis – Yes, TrustCall is a serious business application for enterprises that are serious about security. However, people are people and humor and lightheartedness make the world go round.

Conferencing:

• Screen sharing of individual applications or the entire desktop
• Support for speaker view, gallery view, row view, and thumbnail window on mobile.

Customization:

• Easy translation of the entire user interface into any language
• White labeling – flexible, simple modification of TrustCall’s look and feel and icons 

As if this isn’t enough, KoolSpan’s second leap delivers a more robust product.

KoolSpan testers put TrustCall 11 through its paces, logging many miles over hills and dales, in and out of poor coverage areas, and traversing countless cell towers. Additionally, testers have ventured into the “kiss of death” coverage areas, like the lumber section of big-box home improvement retailers. 

The technical wizards behind KoolSpan’s curtain built a new architecture that results in fewer dropped calls, faster connections, better voice quality, and seamless switching between cellular and Wi-Fi.
