Vote for KoolSpan’s in Startup Maryland’s Pitch Across Maryland
I pitched KoolSpan to Startup Maryland’s Pitch Across Maryland a few weeks ago, recording a short video on their tour bus. Startup Maryland just released the pitch videos and now I want you to vote for my video on Youtube!
Pitch Across Maryland’s winner will be chosen based on their potential for growth. KoolSpan has established itself as an innovator in mobile security and I look forward to continue growing with new technologies and developments. We are supported by a strong patent portfolio and offer a robust API for app developers and system integrators, as well as encrypted voice and text applications for wireless carriers, enterprise and government deployments. Our FIPS 140-2 validated solution has been tested and deployed in 49 countries worldwide. KoolSpan is also a part of bwtech@UMBC, an incubator program for innovative, technology-driven startup companies looking to further develop and commercialize their technologies.
Entrepreneurs Pitch to Startup Maryland
Startup Maryland saw over 168 pitches during its three-week bus tour around the state. Right now a panel of investor and entrepreneur judges are reviewing the videos and will choose eight finalists. There will also be a “fan favorite” winner decided by the number of views that each video gets, so be sure to check out my pitch for KoolSpan here! The Finalists will be announced on Nov. 7 and will present at the Entrepreneur Expo on Nov. 13, where a Winner and Runner-Up will be announced.
“These videos are a testament to the strength, dedication and diversity of Maryland’s entrepreneurial community,” said Startup Maryland Co-Chair Mike Binko in a press release. “When we launched the Pitch Across Maryland tour we thought we might have 40-50 entrepreneurs join us on the Tour Bus and pitch, so 168 is phenomenal. Including all the rallies and events we held more than 200 startups actually participated in the tour.”
Startup Maryland is a regional initiative launched out of the Startup America Partnership. It’s a state-wide initiative to bring entrepreneurial resources together, increase access to resources, capital, deal flow and boost awareness, while bringing together entrepreneurs in a community of support to drive greater economic outcomes.
