TrustCall Product Updates: December 2024
We’ve made it – it’s the final TrustCall update of 2024!
As usual, we caught up with Chief Technology Officer David Asch to find out what the Product team has been up to and hear what early users have been saying about TrustCall‘s next major release.
What has the Product team been up to in November?
The Engineering and QA teams are knee-deep in testing and fixing TrustCall Version 11 in preparation for an internal release before the holidays.
We anticipate a general release for v.11 in the first quarter of 2025, which will kick off the year with a bang!
Some feedback from early-stage users:
- “The look and feel are similar to the consumer apps I use, like WhatsApp, Signal and Telegram.”
- “The responsive design is nicely done. It looks the same on Windows, tablets, and mobile devices, but adjusts the screen appropriately depending on the screen real estate.”
- “The light/dark mode looks great, and it’s nice to have the option!”
- “The layout options in a call allow me to see user thumbnails while sharing a screen. This is especially useful for seeing expressions and reactions when I present.”
- “Superb flow for switching between conversations and ongoing calls.”
- “I like the ease of chatting while on a call.”
- “The interface for attachments—downloading and previewing them—works the same way as other applications.”
- “Generally, it has a clean and intuitive interface.”
- “Nice improvements to the ‘Conversations’ pane, including intuitively ordering by most recent conversations and calls.”
- “I’ve wanted the ‘blue background’ feature for a long time—thanks for implementing it!”

Surprise! Version 11 promises feature parity with version 10.17 and a pile of extras.
In blockbuster movies, we tend to focus on the big-name stars. However, when we watch the credits at a movie’s end, we see the hundreds or thousands of others required to bring the movie to life. The same holds for TrustCall version 11.
Although the user interface is the show’s star, the application’s supporting back-end functionality is the unsung hero. While the new face of the product is exciting, the concurrently developed back-end functionality will provide the scalability and robustness required to support large-scale rollouts for exacting customers.
