William H. Pickle, Secret Service Veteran, Joins KoolSpan Board of Advisors

Pickle has joined KoolSpan as a member of its board of advisors. Pickle, the United States Senate’s 37th Sergeant at Arms, brings to KoolSpan a distinguished career of service to the nation and will provide strategic, board-level guidance and direction.
Pickle served 26 years with the U.S. Secret Service, most notably as Deputy Assistant Director for Human Resources and Training, and Special Agent in Charge of the Vice Presidential Protective Division where he was responsible for all aspects of protection for Vice President Al Gore and his family. As Deputy Assistant Director for Human Resources, he was responsible for all Secret Service training, including protective detail training, firearms training, and physical training.
Prior to joining the United States Senate as Sergeant at Arms, Pickle served as the Transportation Safety Administration’s first Federal Security Director with oversight for the federalization of Denver International Airport. In this position, he created a new organization of 2,000 employees that effectively balanced the security needs of the public with the need for the airport to run efficiently.
